Club Penguin Times Issue #566 (Final Issue)

It’s been SEVEN weeks without a new newspaper, or any single update on the game for that matter. The final updates of Club Penguin happened today, with a new issue of the beloved Club Penguin Times.

You’ll see it says “New!” so click on it like always.

And I’ll get comfy on the Coffee Shop couch one last time, the same way I always have since 2007.

The first article is a message from Aunt Arctic, saying goodbye. This image was in the last issue, and led me to believe the final issue would have went back to the original format. That would have been a nice touch.

The second article is famous penguins saying their goodbyes, too.

And here are the upcoming events…oh wait. :(

  • Club Penguin closes

This week, there are two Ask Aunt Arctic articles, which hasn’t happened in a long time. In recent years the second one was replaced by a comic, and later Fan Art.

In the first article, Aunt Arctic officially reveals the Elite Penguin Force. But I’m pretty sure almost everyone knows about it by now.

The second article discusses the new Club Penguin Island.

And for the last time, here’s the News Flash:

Jokes:

And Club Penguin Island Rumors by a Rumor Reporter as an island secret.

Newspaper submissions are also closed.

I would like to end this post by showing the front page of the first issue of the The Penguin Times, as they were known at the time, from 566 issues ago. Club Penguin has come a long way since October 24, 2005, almost 11 and a half years ago.

Thank you Club Penguin for giving us informative stories all these years. From all those colorful illustrations you’d only see in the newspaper, to the puzzles, in depth articles, secrets, fan submissions, In Focus, Ask Aunt Arctic, interactions, you name it – thank you.
