Blog – Be Very Very Quiet, We’re Hunting Bugs!

Yes, that is a Elmer Fudd Looney Tunes reference!

Anyways, today on the blog Megg posted some bugs that they fixed around the game. Bug fixing hasn’t happened for years or mentioned on the blog. Here is Megg’s post:

Oh hey Penguins,

No time for the usual chit chat, we’re busy chasing down some pesky bugs arou…AH THERE’S ONE NOW. BRB.

Okay back!

Anyways, we wanted to give everyone a little update on bugs that’ve been squashed around the island. Here’s a list to show you which ones we’ve squashed so far:

Ticket Number

During the ‘Create a Penguin’ flow, it requires multiple tries to pass when penguins select the correct item.

The penguin art gallery may or may not load successfully (is sometimes non-functional); no submitted artwork appears on-screen.

In the telescope, the sky appears to be party-themed.

Megaphone in Costume Catalog is a member purchase for 145 coins, but item is set to free and for everyone

Unable to purchase member-only items from the Costume Catalog

Have you noticed any bugs on the island that you’d like to see fixed? Let us know in the comments below! We’re always looking for help catching these pesky bugs :D

Waddle on!

-Club Penguin Team

I have comments on each of these bugs being fixed:

  1. Not much to say about this one, it’s good!
  2. I don’t really understand the second bug that they ‘squashed’. So apparently instead of resolving the issue of the Penguin Art gallery, Club Penguin think it’s just best to remove the feature and make it non-interactive. I wouldn’t really call that fixing the problem, however…
  3. Fix the binoculars, too, please!
  4. That’s bad news for non-members, haha. I wonder if non-members had it removed from your inventory if bought during the duration of the bug?
  5. Not much to say about this one, it’s good!

So yeah, biggest news is that now the Penguin Art on the wall is gone for good even though it hasn’t worked for years. And Megg says that was the route they had to take…so why did it work from about 2010-2013?

And a bug post can’t be made without this image resurfacing below. Can’t beat the classics!

Update: The blog post title has been changed from “Be Very Very Quiet, We’re Hunting Bugs!” to just “We’re Hunting Bugs!” Copyright infringement from Warner Bros? Lol.
